Remote-first by design
Every role is fully remote with async-first workflows, paid equipment and a real home-working budget.
We're hiring · Remote-first · UK
Join a modern, remote-first music-tech company shaping the careers of independent artists worldwide.
HarmENT is a UK-based music promotion company, indie label and artist-tools studio. Since 2019 we've helped 500+ independent artists grow real audiences across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, radio and beyond. Working here means owning real outcomes for real artists, in a small, senior, low-ego team that ships every week — without the politics, fake-stream tactics or burnout culture of the legacy industry.
Why HarmENT
We're building the company we wished existed when we started releasing music. Here's what that looks like day to day.
Remote-first by design
Every role is fully remote with async-first workflows, paid equipment and a real home-working budget.
Real impact on artists
You'll directly shape the careers of 500+ independent artists across the UK, US and Europe.
Music + tech, fast-moving
We sit at the intersection of A&R, promotion and product — shipping new tools and campaigns every week.
Transparent and ethical
Clear contracts, fair splits, no fake streams, no shady tactics. Ever.
Senior-light, ownership-heavy
Small team, flat structure, big scope. You'll own outcomes, not tickets.
Real growth paths
Promotion, lateral moves into A&R, sync, product or label — we build careers, not job descriptions.
Disciplines
HarmENT is structured around eight core disciplines. Even when a specific posting isn't open, we're always interested in hearing from strong people in any of these areas.
Promotions & Campaigns
Promotions managers, playlist strategists, curator supervisors and campaign coordinators.
A&R & Artist Development
A&R managers, scouts and artist managers across alternative, hip-hop, electronic and pop.
Radio Plugging
UK and EU radio pluggers covering BBC, commercial, community and specialist stations.
Digital & Performance Marketing
Paid social, search, SEO, email and CRM specialists running multi-channel artist campaigns.
Content & Editorial
Editors, writers, video creators and YouTube managers building the HarmENT brand.
Operations & Label Services
Release ops, royalty, catalogue, support and legal roles keeping the business running cleanly.
Partnerships & Sync
Sync managers and partnership leads connecting our catalogue to brands, supervisors and platforms.
Engineering & Design
Frontend, SRE, data and product design roles building harment.co.uk and our artist tools.
Current openings
23 open roles across promotions, A&R, marketing, content, partnerships, engineering and operations. All fully remote and UK-based.
⚠️ 99% of applicants need not apply. If the job doesn't kill you, your personal life will.
STOP. Read every word. This is the hardest job HarmENT will ever advertise. There is no honeymoon period. There is no easing in. From day one your phone is on, your bag is packed, and your old life is on hold. You will be woken up. You will miss birthdays, weddings, funerals, holidays, dates, dinners, gym sessions, sleep. You will eat in airports and answer emails from the back of cars. You will be screamed at on bad days and hugged on good ones — sometimes in the same hour. You will know things about James, about artists, about deals, about money, that you can never repeat to anyone, ever — including a future partner, a future therapist, a future journalist, or a future version of yourself who thinks the story is too good not to tell.
You are the right hand to HarmENT's Founder & CEO James Armstrong — effectively on-call 24/7/365. Helicopter at 11pm. Flight rerouted at midnight. New suit by Friday morning. Tailor at the hotel by 6am. Takeaway delivered to a green room at 4am. Hospital pharmacy located in a city you've never been to. A problem you've never seen before, solved in twenty minutes, with a smile, in front of people who are paid to watch you fail. This is not a job. It is a lifestyle replacement.
If you have a partner — talk to them before you apply. If you have young kids — do not apply. If you need eight hours of sleep, weekends off, predictable hours, or a clean line between work and life — do not apply. If you think "on-call" means "I might get a Slack at 7pm" — do not apply. If you have ever leaked a story, screenshotted a chat, or "vented" about a previous principal online — close this tab. Serious money. Total trust. No quiet life. No going back.

Hiring philosophy
Skills can be taught. These six things are non-negotiable across every HarmENT hire, from day-one analyst to senior partnerships lead.
Independent thinkers
You bring a point of view, push back kindly, and own decisions end to end.
Artist-first values
You make decisions that are good for artists first — long term, not just this campaign.
Music-culture literacy
You actually listen, follow scenes, and understand why a release matters.
Remote-ready operators
You're disciplined, communicate clearly in writing, and don't need to be chased.
Proactive and curious
You spot problems early, ship fixes, and bring better ideas than the brief.
Kind, low-ego humans
We're a small team. We hire people we genuinely want to work with for years.
Our culture
HarmENT is built on three things: transparency, artist-first values and boring discipline. We share numbers openly, we say no to work that won't move artists forward, and we run small, focused weeks instead of theatrical sprints.
We're remote-first, async-by-default and low-meeting. Most days you'll work from wherever you are in the UK, in deep focus blocks, with a single planning call and a written end-of-day. We care more about output than hours, and we genuinely protect evenings, weekends and holidays.
We're small, senior and ambitious. You'll work directly with founders, ship into production every week, and see the impact of your work on real artists' careers — usually within days, not quarters.

FAQ
Common questions about working at HarmENT. Anything else? Email [email protected].
Are all HarmENT roles remote?
Yes. Every role at HarmENT is fully remote and UK-based by default. We work asynchronously where possible and meet on video for planning, reviews and team rituals. Occasional travel is only required for partnership, festival or industry events and is always optional or reimbursed.
Do you hire internationally?
Our default hiring base is the United Kingdom because of contracts, payroll and right-to-work. For senior, specialist or partnerships roles we will consider EU and US-based candidates on a contractor basis. Job postings will state where international candidates are welcomed.
Do you offer internships or entry-level roles?
We run a small, paid internship programme each year focused on promotions, content and A&R. We do not take unpaid interns. Entry-level openings are listed alongside senior roles whenever they are open — check the Current Openings list above.
How do I apply for a role at HarmENT?
Email your CV, a short note on why you want to work at HarmENT, and any relevant portfolio, playlists or campaign examples to [email protected]. Reference the role title in the subject line. We aim to reply to every applicant within 14 days.
What does the HarmENT hiring process look like?
After your application we run a 30-minute intro call, a paid practical task or portfolio review, and a final interview with the team you would join. Most processes take 2–4 weeks end to end. We share clear feedback at every stage.
What skills and qualities do you look for?
We hire independent thinkers who genuinely care about artists. We look for music-culture literacy, strong written communication, ownership, and the discipline to thrive in a remote-first team. Specific skills depend on the role and are listed on each posting.
Are roles full-time, part-time or contract?
Most HarmENT roles are full-time and permanent, but we are open to part-time, fractional or contract arrangements for the right person — especially in legal, sync and senior specialist functions. Get in touch and we'll find the right shape.
What is the salary and benefits package?
Salaries are listed on each open role and are benchmarked against UK music and tech market data. All roles include 25+ days annual leave plus bank holidays, private healthcare, a learning budget, equipment allowance, and a fully remote setup.
